Arrangements of Shri Amarnathji Yatra jointly made by SASB, Govt: G A Mir

Minister for Tourism Ghulam Ahmad Mir while replying to a Question by Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah Veeri informed the House that the arrangements for Shri Amarnathji Yatra are made by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) in collaboration with the State Government and District Administration (Civil and Police) of Anantnag and Ganderbal districts.

The Minister further informed that the entire administration of both the districts get involved in the arrangement of Yatra and some employees from these districts are deployed on rotational basis. As many as 11 KAS and 9 KPS officers were deployed as Camp Directors and Additional Camp Directors to deal with the problems and issues pertaining to various camps established at certain locations en-route to Yatra by the GAD and Home departments.

Naresh Gupta and Syed Rafiq Shah also raised the supplementaries to the question.Rs. 275 cr stand sanctioned for construction of Ravi-Tawi canal from Basantpur to upstream RS Dam: GureziMinister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi while replying to a question by Mr. Devender Singh Rana informed the House that the construction of Ravi-Tawi canal to be taken from Basantpur to upstream of Ranjit Sagar Dam near village Satwain in District Kathua stands sanctioned administratively for an amount of Rs.275 crore. He said NOCs from all concerned department have been received except the Wild Life Department and the work on the canal will be started in near future.
