Dev of play fields in Ellahibagh, Mallabagh apace: Taj Mohi-ud-din

Minister for Medical Education, Youth Service and Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today informed the House that construction work of Sports fields at Ellahibagh, Mallabagh and  Bagh-e-Wani Shah in Hazratbal Constituency have been taken up at the cost of Rs. 26.05 lakh adding that tenders are being floated shortly for development of play field at Awantibawan.

Replying to a question by Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal here in Legislative Assembly, the Sports Minister informed that 40% fencing work of the playing field Ellahibagh have been completed and work was stopped due to land dispute for some time which now resolved and work is being resumed shortly.The Minister said that excavation of trenches change room, main pavilion block at play field at Bagh-e-Wanis Khan have been completed and other construction works would be completed by the end of November this year. He said that the tenders for the development of play field at Awantibawan are being floated shortly and work would be completed within 3 months period after start of the work.In response to the supplementaries by Mr. Irfan Shah, Hakim Mohammad Yasin, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and Mr. Bharat Bushan, the Minister said that due consideration would be given for development of sports fields in all constituency adding that sports fields on Khash Chari land be also developed subject that no fencing of the area would be made. He said there were no land compensation components from Centre or State schemes for development of sports fields on private land.
