Swachhbharat innovators felicitated, Venkaiah Naidu visits exhibition of innovative products

Naidu lauds week long National Innovations Exhibition organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan

Minister of Urban Development M.Venkaiah Naidu today visited the National Innovations Exhibition being held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and evinced keen interest in the innovative products on show that would assist in ensuring cleanliness. The theme of today’s exhibition was ‘Clean India’. About 60 innovations relating to cleanliness were on show today as a part of the week long exhibition on various daily themes. Some of the products include ; Super Stocker Model Dustbin, Solar Street Light, Motorised Wrapper Picker, Bicycle Based Road Cleaner, Sanitary Napkin Destroyer, Kitchen Waster Digester, Sea-Bench Cleaner, Sceptic Tank with Baffle System, Water Hyacinth Remover, Automatic Chlorine Doser etc. All the innovators were later introduced in the presence of President Shri Pranab Mukherjee at the inauguration of a two day International Seminar on “Clean and Capable India of Gandhi’s Dreams” at Vigyan Bhawan. Shri Venkaiah Naidu complimented the innovators and explained their innovations. Venkaiah Naidu thanked the President for taking the initiative of organizing the week long Innovations Festival with the assistance of the National Innovation Foundation. The exhibition concludes on March 13, 2015.
