A delegation of Shahpur area led by Kewal Singh Pathania, Vice Chairman Forest Development Corporation met Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh here today and thanked him for giving new office of Engineer-in-Chief, IPH (Project) at Shahpur.Shri Kewal Singh Pathania said that Shri Virbhadra Singh had always ensured all round and balanced development of the State and Kangra had always been on the priority list in the matters of development.He said that it was during the tenures of Shri Virbhadra Singh as Chief Minister that Board of School Education was shifted to Dharamshala. Similarly, under his Chief Ministership, Technical Education Board, Offices of Chief Engineer, IPH, PWD and Electricity were established in the District. It was due to the efforts of Shri Virbhadra Singh that Central University had been set up in Kangra district, for which approval was granted by the Government of India during previous term of Congress Government in the State.Shri Pathania said that starting Vidhan Sabha at Dharamshala was one of the historic decisions of Shri Virbhadra Singh’s Government. He said that with opening of Engineer-in-Chief, IPH (Project) office at Shahpur, the people of the district would be immensely benefited.
