Agriculture Minister hails the decision

Agriculture Minister Sujan Singh Pathania has hailed the landmark judgement of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi today which has safeguarded the interests of farmers and horticulturists of the State. He said that after this decision now the six percent commission would not be charged from farmers in Azadpur Market, Delhi. This decision would not only benefit the growers and farmers of Himachal Pradesh but also of other States. Shri Pathania said that the State Government after assuming the office had taken up this issue vigorously on the directions of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh so as to safeguard the interests of growers and farmers of the State, which had resulted to this landmark judgement. He said that the issue of charging six per cent commission from growers and farmers was lying pending since long which had caused the growers and farmers to bear huge financial loss.
