Anil Joshi Announces Big Relief To Allottees Failed To Deposit Installments For Properties

Allottees Can Deposit Lump-Sum Amount Before Till March 31st

Punjab Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi today extended big relief to allottees, who have failed to deposit installments towards the cost of their properties fallen in the ambit of Improvement Trusts. The minister has also awarded two months time to these allottees and now they can deposit the entire remaining amount along interest restoration charges till March 31st.Mr. Joshi said it would be a major reprieve for those allottees, whose properties have been attached by the department since they could get their properties restored by paying the rest amounts with the due interest restoration charges in lump-sum manner. He said now those allottees, who could not have deposited the due amounts despite receiving notice from department, could apply for restoration of their properties. He said instruction have been issued in this regard to all offices of Improvement Trusts.

The minister informed that this decision has been taken on the basis of large number of appeals for restoration of properties. He said that government has decided to provide a chance to the allottees, who had failed to continue their installments.Mr. Joshi also informed that department has also launched a awareness drive in this regard so that maximum allottees could take full advantage to this initiative of government well in time. He also said those allottees, who will not deposit their installments, concerned improvement trusts would be able to take action as per law.
