Aryans Institute of Nursing organizes “Blood Donation Camp”

Aryans Institute of Nursing today organized “Blood Donation Camp” in its campus. 83 students & Staff of Aryans Group enthusiastically donated blood. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group inaugurated the event.A 8 members team of Doctors and technicians from Rajindra Hospital, Patiala under the leadership of Dr. Jasneet, Medical Officer, Rajindra Hospital conducted thorough medical checkup of voluntary donors and selected the eligible donors to donate blood. The students were given certificates and donor cards along with refreshments. Mr. H.Deep, President, Mission Laally te Haryally was also present on the occasion. Dr. Jasneet, Medical Officer, Rajindra Hospital said that a person can save 3 lives from 1 unit blood.  She added that these camps not only provide blood to the blood banks but also are a great boon to the thalassemia and leukemia patients who need blood infusions frequently.Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group appealed the youth to donate blood for this noble cause. He congratulated the donors and encouraged the students to continue the blood donation every year, so that the patients who die due to paucity of blood may survive.

Dr. Kataria further said that worldwide millions of lives get saved every year because of blood donation and many more can be saved. He added that the college is looking forward to organize such camps on regular basis as Blood is Life and blood donation is noble cause.Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that such camps will kindle a spirit of social service in the student community. Quoting the benefits of donating blood, he further said that it helps to maintain healthy heart, increases red blood cells production, helps in decreasing body weight and on top of it improves the psychological health as it gives a feel good factor.Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group added that “None of us can survive without blood in our body and Blood Donation is a service to the society”. He appreciated the students who donated their blood. “It feels good when people come forward for a noble cause, especially when we see enthusiastic feeling of youngsters for mankind” he added.
