Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today strongly criticized the Congress led UPA government for imposing ban on setting up of new industrial units at Ludhiana, industrial capital of Punjab and said that NDA Government would lift all such bans on industrial activities besides boosting the economic, industrial and agriculture growth in the state. Mr. Badal was addressing a public rally at village Wadala after laying the foundation stone of Railway Over Bridge. The Deputy CM condemned the move of congress government against Punjab to deprive the state from industrial expansion. Badal said that it was unfortunate that Congress led UPA government was giving a step motherly treatment to Punjab despite the fact that Union Minister of State Mr. Manish Tiwari was also from Ludhiana. He accused the UPA government for ignoring the border state of Punjab for industrial packages but providing industrial incentives to the neighboring hilly states, which showed the discriminatory attitude of center with Punjab.  He said that NDA would give a big push to industry in Punjab after forming the next government at center. He said that the charisma of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Mr. Narendra Modi would wipe out this government of flawed programs and policies.

Announcing tube well connections for farmers having less than 5 acres of land, Mr. Badal said that directions have been issued in this regard and the tube well connections to farmers with 5 acres of land would be released within next two months.Meanwhile, talking to media persons after addressing a public rally, Mr. Badal on the issue of corruption said that Punjab Government has finalized a unique plan to provide all the facilities to the masses through online systems. He said that Punjab has put more than 100 public services under Right to Service Act, which has curtailed the red-tapism. He said that till date more than 1 crore people have availed the services under RTS Act and Punjab witnessed 97 percent success rate of this Act.Mr Badal also laid a foundation stone of Railway over bridge near village Wadala at a cost of Rs. 34 crore, a link road from Hamira to Lakhan Khurad at a cost of Rs. 403.09 lac and inaugurated a road from Razapur to Kular at a cost of Rs. 862.44 lac in district Kapurthala.Prominent among others Dr Rattan Singh Ajnala MP, Mr Som Parkash Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Sarabjit Singh Makkar former MLA, Mr Jarnail Singh Wahad district SAD President and Mr Parmjit Singh President Nagar Council kapurthala were also present.
