Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal today asserted the Congress led UPA was a government of scams and that it would go to any length to shied its tainted ministers. Reacting to the clean chit guven by the CBI to Union Home Minister Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde in the Aadarsh Housing Society scam, Mrs. Badal said it was the old tradition of Congress Party to get clean chits for its tainted ministers. She said the CBIs clean chit proved that the Congress party was shielding its leaders despite the fact that they had lost all credibility in the eyes of the people. She said that not only Mr. Shinde, the Congress Party was also trying to defend Pawan Bansal, named in Railgate, and other ministers and leaders, who had looted the state exchequer and nation’s assets in various scams including commonwealth, coalgate and choppergate. 

 Addressing public rallies after holding sangat darshan in Sardulgarh area, Mrs. Badal said the discriminatory attitude of the Congress led UPA Government had again come to the fore when the Union Ministry of Environment has imposed ban on setting up new industrial units in the State's industrial capital Ludhiana.  She said the Punjab Congress was trying to stop the funds released under 108 Ambulance services, which had proved to be a boon for expectant mothers.  She advised Pradesh Congress  President Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa to stop accusing the state government over trivialities and impress upon the Congress led UPA Government to release funds to the state.Meanwhile, Mrs. Badal presided over sangat darshan programs in villages Ahlupur, Lohgarh, Bhagwanpur Heengna, Meerpur Kalan, Meerpur Khurd, Kahnewala, Bhunder and Tibbi Hari Singh Wala and handed over cheques of Rs. 80 lakh for development purposes.Prominent amongst those were present included Mr. Dilraj Singh Bhunder, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Chainewala, Mr. Harmesh Singh Rorki and Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bananwali.
