Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today said that Congress led UPA Government has financially ruined the country and it should issue a white paper on its 'fiscal status'.Answering media persons after dedicating state-of-the-art building of Suwidha Kendra for Fazilka residents in District Administration Complex, Mr. Badal said, "Punjab's fiscal health is fine whereas the Congress led UPA government has suffering a lot on fiscal front and has ruined the country economically and financially. Dr. Manmohan Singh led Government should immediately issue a white paper in this regard."

Expressing immense satisfaction on Sangat Darshan programs of Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, the Deputy CM also announced that he would too preside over Sangat Darshan programs from next month to listen public  grievances. He said that this brainchild program of Punjab CM Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has proved a boon for the rural population of Punjab and he would further accelerated this move by personally holding Sangat Darshan programs to resolve the on the spot greivances of common masses.

On being asked about the develoment of villages, Mr. Badal said that all villages of Punjab would witness an unprecedented development in coming three years as the SAD-BJP Government has finalised the development blue print for villages by expending Rs. 10000 crore. Interacting with elected rural representatives including Sarpanches and Panches at village Ladhuwala Uttar here, Mr. Badal asked the representatives that they should play a vital role in the development programs of Punjab Government. He said that under the new master plan for rural areas, 100 percent potable water, sewerage system and other basic amenities would also be ensured. He further added that a separate grant of Rs. 1700 crore would be spent to strengthen, widen and construction of new roads in the villages. He said that in his two day whirlwind tour to areas of Ferozepur and Fazilka districts he has laid foundation stones of development works of Rs. 24 crore and Rs. 25 crore respectively in Fazilka and Ferozepur. 

Meanwhile Mr. Badal also distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 2.5 crore for development purposes to 36 panchayats at Jalalabad. He also announced grant of Rs. 19 crore for 12 villages of Jalalabad, which have chosen to develop as 'Aadarsh Villages'. Prominent amongst present on the occassion included Mr. Surjit Kumar Jiyani, Forest Minister, Punjab, Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Member Parliament,  Mr. Satinderjit Singh Manta, Senior Akali leader, Mr. V.K. Sharma, Commissioner Ferozepur pision, Dr. Basant Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Surjit Singh Grewal, SSP and Mr. Lakhvinder Singh Rohiwala, Chairman PADB Jalalabad.
