Chunni Lal Bhagat, Local Bodies Minister, Punjab today directed officers of the department to clear all the pending cases of CLU (Change of land use). These instructions were issued in a high level meeting held today under the chairmanship of Mr. Bhagat to review the progress of ongoing development project and the pendency of CLU cases, progress of water supply and sewerage project and status of solid waste management.The Minister took strong exception of the pendency of CLU cases and asked the senior officer of the department to clear all the cases within stipulated time frame. While taking up the matter of unauthorized colonies, the Minister reviewed that how many colonizers have submitted the required documents till date to get their colonies authorized.

Mr. Bhagat also evaluated the progress of other development projects of the department, which have been started in the past. He specifically asked the officers about the projects, which missed the deadline fixed for their completion and the reasons behind it.The prominent amongst others, who were present in the meeting included; Mr. Som Parkash, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Local Bodies, Mr. Vineet Joshi, Assistant Media Advisor to Punjab Government, Mr. Ashok Gupta, Secretary and Mr. Priyank Bharti, Director, Local Bodies.
