Protest against Auction of the Municipal Corporation Building, Bhawanigarh

Congress Party in Bhawanigarh today staged a massive protest against state government's decision to auction Municipal Corporation building in Bhawanigarh.This demonstration was under the leadership of Sangrur MP Vijay Inder Singla and Surinder Pal Sibia Ex-MLA and was organized by the Block Congress  Committee President Varinder Panwan with support of people from the town and villages of bhawanigargh.

While addressing Vijay Inder Singla,lashed out at SAD-BJP Government and accused it of Anti-people policy’s and the poor financial conditions of the state.Singla said that the state has taxed the urban areas by introducing E-Trip. Everybody has to pay extra electricity expense named as miscellaneous expenses.The SAD-BJP Government has betrayed the people of Punjab by not implementing even one of its promises made during the last elections in there manifesto.

The state is in Financial Emergency as they have not paid their own fuel expense bills, No salaries to state government employees, VAT refunds to the industries.Sibia said that the corporation has postponed the auction and said more protest will follow if the State Government re-decides to auction this Municipal Corporation Building. The protest went from the streets of bhawanigarh to the municipal corporation building.
