‘Raja’ faces revolt in palace as his brother Malwinder joins Akali dal

Congress party would crumble under its own weight with revolt at 38 seats-Sukhbir

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt. Amarinder Singh today faced a rebellion in his own home against irrational distribution of tickets as his own brother  Raja Malwinder Singh today joined Shiromani Akali Dal, snapping his 62 year old ties with Congress party.

It was a second revolt in the palace of Amarinder Singh in last two years as her ‘Chachi’ Amarjit Kaur too join the SAD last year.

Speaking on the occasion the SAD President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Malwinder Singh saying good bye to Congress party reflected one thing that old and loyal workers were not having any say in the affairs of Congress party as reputed leaders were treated worst than beggers during last few day prior to distribution of tickets. He said that it was unfortunate that the former ministers and old loyalist of Gandhi family were debarred to step on road leading to 10 Janpath or Congress headquarter. Mr. Badal said that the party that does not values the sacrifices of its workers was set to be doomed forever. He said that money bag and sycophancy culture was totally prevalent in Congress party and honest and loyalist leaders have been denied opportunity to contest elections.

The SAD President said that Congress party was crumbling under its own weight as it was facing rebellion on 38 seats that may touch 50 tomorrow. He said that witnessing the  distribution of seats, it seems that Congress party has surrendered even before the battle of ballot begin. He said that the SAD would give due regard to Mr. Malwinder Singh and his son in law Biban Singh who have joined today 90 year old party SAD.

When asked about ticket for Malwinder Singh the SAD president said that party would take a decision on this.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Malwinder Singh said that he was fed up with the culture of treachery of Congress party that does not recognize the selfless work of 62 years for the party. He said that he said that he has been ditched twice by the Congress high command after promising him tickets twice. He clarified that he would neither speak against his brother Amarinder Singh nor contest against him. He said that he was leaving the Congress party with heavy heart and had full faith in the leadership of S. Parkash Singh Badal and S. Sukhbir Singh Badal.
