Syed Ali Shah Geelani distributes relief cheques among flood victims

While giving details of the relief distribution in Jammu & Kashmir, chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani said they have distributed cheques worth Rs 85 lakh, 10 lakh cash, food items worth 1 crore 32 lakh, bedding and clothing worth 34 lakh and medicine worth Rs 14 lakh.In a statement he said, “The donations and the alms which were given by the well-off people has been handed over to the deserving persons and if the people will continue their donations in future then that will also be distributed with honesty and if it will not happen then this process will automatically stop and the today’s function will be termed as last function.”Geelani was addressing the people at the function held at Hyderpora office in which cheques worth Rs 50 thousand were distributed amoung the deserving people of District Baramullah, Bandipora, Pulwama and Srinagar.
