Mehbooba Mufti leaves for Jammu for discussion with Governor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti, Tuesday left for Jammu for discussions with the Governor, N N Vohra, for the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, the party Chief Spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar said in a statement.Mehbooba is scheduled to meet the governor on his invitation tomorrow to discuss the situation arising out of the split verdict in recent elections.Meanwhile, the party patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today continued consultations with the party rank and file.Mufti has been meeting party leaders, newly elected legislators, senior workers and some of the members of civil society in a bid to shape the party's response to the challenge thrown up by the fractured verdict in the recent polls, Akhtar added.
