At least three people were injured in a bomb blast triggered Monday evening by suspected Bodo insurgents in Assam's Kokrajhar district, police said. The grenade blast took place in Patgaon, Inspector General of Police (BTAD) L.R. Bishnoi said.It probably triggered by the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) faction opposed to peace talks with the government, he said. The injured were taken to a hospital, he said.In a separate incident, two grenades were also found in Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district, which is part of the troubled Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).

Two NDFB insurgents were Sunday killed in a joint operation by police and army commandos in Selekaguri area of neighbouring Chirang district along the Bhutan border. The NDFB had Sunday evening also triggered a low intensity blast in Bongaigaon district, but no one was injured.Police earlier said specially trained commandos will be deployed in the four districts of BTAD - Kokrajhar, Udalguri, Chirang and Baksa - to flush out Bodo militants.
