The national conference on Monday said it will retain all eight assembly segments of Srinagar and the party would play a key role in next government formation in Jammu and Kashmir ahead.Talking to KNS, the general secretary national conference Ali Mohammad Sagar who as party’s candidate from the old city’s Khaniyar, says with the good margin, he will again emerge victorious from his turf.Sagar also came down heavily upon the state Congress chief Saif-ud-din over his recent remark that Srinagar no longer is NC’s bastion.  Sagar said that usually Soz makes statements in haste at first and then repents latter. “I am sure that he (Soz) has made the statement in haste. Soz sahib should wait for few more days to know what the reality is going to be.”

Sagar expressed confidence saying NC will retain all the eight seats in Srinagar. “We have worked really hard. All other parties had conspired against the national conference so that we could lose Srinagar but we stood firm and if God wills, we are going to register the triumph during the ongoing polls.”

NC’s trouble shooter remarked further that the results emerging so far till the 4th phase of polls reveal that NC is going to emerge as a single largest party in JK after polls. “We will form the next government and I can assure you that we are going to play a vital role in the next government formation,” Sagar said.    (KNS)
