Reacting strongly to the whole-hearted praise of Narendra Modi by PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayed, BJP State Spokesperson and State Election Media Incharge Arun Kumar Gupta said that while “we welcome the change of heart of PDP patron but we condemn his ploy of misleading the people and garnering the vote in the name of Modi.”“It is now amply clear that PDP has no issues to fight these elections and having tried all stunts to polarize the voters which have miserably failed, have now decided to en-cash the Modi’s popularity in the state of Jammu & Kashmir,” he said in a statement.

Gupta said that successful rallies conducted by Modi in different areas of the state has bewailed the opposition and staunch advocate of ‘Self Rule’ like PDP, is now trying to ‘hijack the agenda of development of the Bharatiya Janata Party and trying to befool the public.’He said that present day voter is very intelligent and is capable of differentiating between two well-wishers and time servers.Gupta said that while BJP has always stood for the equal and balanced development of the state, the BJP has been advocating discriminatory politics and maintained anti-Jammu stance. He said that it’s only at the time of elections that they think of Jammu and its people.

“BJP would make J&K a model state full of development and will do justice with all three regions. Describing PDP, NC and Congress as full of sins, it is very important for citizens to wipe out PDP, NC and Congress completely so that it gets a lesson for doing nothing for the people of the state,” he claimed.Gupta condemned PDP Patron for having “double standards” and recalled that a couple of days before Mufti made a statement at Sher-i-Kashmir stadium that Srinagar will remain the focus of his attention if voted to power and here, in Jammu he is claiming for equitable development of all three regions. “This shows that Mufti is trying to befool public by giving two different statements in Kashmir and Jammu. People are now well aware of their dual speak and cannot be influenced anymore,” he said.
