The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Sector 15-D, Chandigarh. The camp was inaugurated by Shri C. L. Gulati, Secretary, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Delhi. Inspite of heavy rain and intense cold weather   246  devotees including 33 women donated their blood voluntarily in this camp.  While inaugurating this Camp, Shri Gulati said that Sant Nirankari Mission is a Mission in action.  It has socio-spiritual function to redeem humanity.  Its philosophy is, “Life gets a meaning if it is lived for others.” The spirit of living for others is born out of emotional brotherhood based on spiritual awakening.   

Nirankari Baba ji says, “Donate blood while living in the world and organs while leaving the world.  It cements human bonds. Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation is meant to translate into action the spirit of the Mission.Mohinder Singh, resident of H. No. 3162, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, a non-nirankari donor, felt enthusiastic to donate blood in this camp.  He is a regular blood donor.  He says, “Of all the blood donation camps I have attended so far, this is the best organized and disciplined camp.”Dr. B.S.Cheema, Zonal Incharge, Chandigarh Zone welcomed the chief guest and thanked all the donors and team of Doctors of P.G.I.  He said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is the leading blood donating voluntary organization in the country today. It is the 16th camp out of 19 Camps of current financial year of the Chandigarh Zone.  

Mohinder Singh, Sanyojak, Chandigarh Branch said that the Nirankari devotees are establishing the Universal Brotherhood through blood donation. A team of 20 para-medicos headed by Dr. Suchet Sachdev from PGI conducted the camp. He appreciated the self motivation of Nirankari devotees for socio-spiritual activities and added that it is this kind of people who can make all the difference to the society at large.Sh. Sohan Singh Banga, Mukhi & Sh. Tarsem Lal, Sanchalak of Sector 15 area and Sh. Tersam Singh, Mukhi and Sh. Harbans Lal, Sanchalak of Sector 40 Area Mukhi organized the camp.
