The Bhartiya Janta Party while reacting to the allegations of Omar Abdullah that BJP’s mission 44 is nothing but a hidden agenda, Saturday said that the popularity of the BJP wave in J&K has ‘frustrated’ him.“It is an established fact that the family rule has caused great harm to the Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Abdullah is power hungry and is befooling the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the vote bank politics. The state does not belong only to his family but every citizen of the state has the claim over it,” BJP’s National General Secretary Tarun Chug told KNS over phone from New Delhi.

He said that Bhartiya Janta Party is committed to bring peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. “Omar who makes misleading claims just for the vote bank politics should know that the Bhartiya Janta Party is secular party and believes in the views of the people,” he claimed.Meanwhile, BJP’s National General Secretary Ram Madhav said that the aim of the party is to change economic condition of the state not the demography.

“The Prime Minister is committed to change the economic condition of the Jammu and Kashmir state not the demography of the state. Corruption was on its high during the Omar’s tenure. Instead of making false claims and misleading statements, Omar should focus on briefing to the people as to why corruption touched new heights during his tenure as the chief minister,” Madhav told KNS over phone from New Delhi and alleged that the government machinery was missing from the last five years and in the recent devastating floods. It is to mention here that Omar, who is also the working president of National Conference, Friday said in an election rally that BJP’s mission 44 + is  nothing but a hidden agenda of weakening the socio-political status of Jammu and Kashmir.“It’s not that BJP is eyeing 44+ seats in the legislative assembly but their actual mission is to erode the special status enjoyed by the state and they want to begin with the state subject law by virtue of which they will try to erode the identity, multi-pluralistic culture and the Kashmiriyat of the state,” he had said.
