Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for questioning JK’s accession with India. In a statement here the BJP spokesman Khaild Jehangir said: “Omar is raising non-issues to pert the attention of the people as he failed to deliver as the Chief Minister of the state. Discussing political contours of Jammu and Kashmir doesn’t fall in Omar’s domain. By giving such statements he is crossing the line.”Jehangir said that Omar has got no right to interfere in the foreign policy of India and issues related to the sovereignty of the country.“Omar has sensed defeat and is questioning JK’s accession with India to appease secessionist elements,” he added. The BJP spokesman took a dig at Omar for raising the issue of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) again and again.

During his tenure as the Chief Minister he failed miserably to curb the corruption and get rid of such elements who made the entire system defunct. He has concentrated on the matters which don’t fall within his domain.  Had he concentrated on issues related to governance and the masses NCtoday would not have been at the brink of extinction,” Jehangir said.He exuded hope that BJP would form the next government in the state and would take all the corrupt politicians to task. “BJP is committed to restore the pristine glory of Jammu and Kashmir and ensure that nobody takes the masses for a ride anymore,” Jehangir added.
