People will receive a pleasant surprise by Congress in Assembly poll results: Azad, Soz

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad and State Congress chief Prof Saifuddin Soz addressed largely attended public meetings in far flung areas of Gool and Dharmri, Simlikoe, Thamool and Silabaga, Seri Khawja and Marhot and Chenanni.In a statement a spokesperson of the party said both the leaders asserted that people will receive a pleasant surprise by Congress in the J&K Legislative Assembly 2014. They said that situation of make belief had been created through the propaganda, particularly by the RSS. “Now, the Congress Party’s achievement in the first phase of election had made things clear. On the basis of very reasonable estimates all the four seats in Ladakh region had gone in favour of Congress, Gurez and Bandipora have also been won by Congress. As for the Chenab valley, atleast  five seats have gone in favour of Congress,” they claimed. “This shows that the propaganda unleashed by the RSS and other parties in the State had not worked at all,” the leaders added.

They explained to the people that it was Congress which had ensured the spectacular development in all the three regions of the State and today the Congress most resolutely feel that it would serve the people best. The leaders left the crowds assured that Congress alone had the vitality to fight communal forces in India.They appealed the cheering crowds to vote for Congress candidates and support the Party to form  the Government on its own.Others who attended these public meetings included Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Minister of Revenue and Rehabilitation, Mohammad Sharief Niaz MLA, Jugal Kishore MLC, Mumtaz Khan and Krishan Chand Bhagat.
