Supports Hurriyat’s policy on Kashmir issue

A high level delegation led by head of the Akali Group (Mann) Simrenjeet Sing Mann met Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nageen residence where both the leaders discussed the ongoing political situation.Supporting the Hurriyat’s policy on Kashmir issue, the delegates said the “so called elections in Kashmir were a futile process and solution to Kashmir dispute should be found taking into accordance to the emotions and aspirations of Kashmiris to bring stability in South Asia.”Lauding the effort of Mirwaiz and Dar-ul-Khair towards providing relief and rehabilitation of flood victims, the delegates said the step taken by Dar-ul-Khair towards constructing houses for the victims was a revolutionary step.

On the occasion, Akali delegates also donated relief material including blankets, rice and other essentials towards Darul Khair for the people affected due to floods.While lauding the efforts of Sikh brethren towards helping the flood victims of Kashmir, Mirwaiz thanked Simrenjeet Mann and other delegates for bringing in relief for the flood victims and for supporting the Kashmir cause.Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) spokesman while terming the elections in Kashmir as a “futile and useless exercise,” said that people should observe complete strike in districts where the “sham electoral process would be conducted on Dec 2 under the shadow of guns.”“Kashmir dispute is a living reality and since 1947, the sham elections could not change the disputed status of Kashmir; neither such a staged exercise could substitute the peoples ​right to self determination,” he added.
