Channelizing human resource of JK thrust area of DPN: Ghulam Hassan Mir

Democratic Party (Nationalist) DP(N) Patron Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that channelizing  the natural  and human resource of J&K for development of the state is the thrust area of DPN.DPN patron said this at a public meeting at Guiwapattan this afternoon.  He said that other parts of the country have a remarkable growth rate in every sector, but in J&K the same is in slow pace.  Calling upon the people to come out to mandate their genuine representative who have an ability to deliver on developmental front to make J&K Prosperous state. He said that “our party from day of inception have make every efforts to give flip to the developmental activities in the state and for which I personally strive hard in every forum of the government, be state or center that people of the J&K has every right  for  economic prosperity.”Mir said, that driving force of the DPN’s developmental agenda is the public support, particularly youth, without which the party could not achieve much,” he added and said that in this direction numerous schemes were launched to provide a platform to youth to channelize their potential.

DPN patron said  time has come to utilize stat’s resources both natural and human in better way for making the J&K self-reliant adding that “ we have waste three to four decades for perting the people’s attention on hallow slogans  and nothing have been achieved out of it”, he lamented. He said that if political leaders have made their earnest efforts for resource mobilization during these decades, people of the J&K have on driving seat in the country in every field for which some political parties now are making hue and cry”.Mir said that Kariwas of the valley have abundant potential in horticulture sector, if ground water resources and rain water are being harnessed on scientific bases. He said harnessing of ground water and construction of check agriculture dams, water storage tanks for harvesting of rain water would bring economic revolution in and horticulture sector of the state. He said that some states of the country have already mobilize their resources in this direction and our state have also making efforts for making  comprehensive policy for achieving green economic revolution in J&K.

He said during last six years as a agriculture minister, I take various initiatives for harnessing the ground water and harvesting of rain water adding that remarkable achievements have been made in this regard. He said all those deep bore wells, check dams, and water storage tanks constructed are successfully discharging water for irrigation purposes in these areas. He asked the people to provide decisive mandate to DPN and the party shall assure you to fulfill your aspirations.
