5238 Computer Labs Setup In Primary Schools-Maluka

Keeping in view to train students in computer learning special computer aided learning scheme has been launched in the state.announcing this here today, Punjab Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka said that 5238 computer labs have been set up in upper primary schools. Maluka said, under computer aided learning scheme multimedia content for English, Mathmatics, Science, Social Studies has been developed covering all the hardspots, which would help the teacher to make students understand the difficult concepts resulting in better understanding of the subject. He said this initiative has also helped in increasing the attendance of the students. The Minister said with the technical aids like integrated computer cam projector (ICP) and LFT display it has become easier for the teacher to show the pictorial representation of the diagrams. He said 470 integrated computer cam projectors have already been supplied to upper primary schools. Besides this, the minister said that Desktop computers with 32" LFT-TV as a monitor for displaying multimedia educational content have been supplied to 1420 upper primary schools. In order to impart quality education, 12470 subject teachers have been trained and 400 teachers have been provided refreshers training, he added.
