Top guerrilla commander arrested in Kashmir

Security forces Saturday arrested a top commander of the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) outfit in Sopore town in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.On receiving information regarding the presence of a top JeM commander in the Yumberzalwari forests in Sopore in Baramulla district, a joint operation was launched by police from Srinagar, Sopore and personnel from 27 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF's 179 battalion.JeM's pisional commander Sadeeq Ahmad alias Sadiq, son of Ghulam Sarwar Cheehi, a resident of Haripore in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, was arrested in the operation, a police statement said.One AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 70 AK-series rounds were seized from him.
