Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohamamd Yasin Malik Monday said it is a irony that on one side examinations are postponed till march citing bad  situation, on other everything is told to be well and ready for holding ‘farce’ elections on time.“This double speak actually exposes the inhuman hypocritical behavior of New Delhi and its political stooges vis-à-vis Jammu Kashmir,” Malik alleged in a statement.

While talking to flood affected people at Bagh I Nand Singh Chatabal here, he said after almost 45 days of the flood, devastated people are compelled to live in a miserable condition. “Thousands have been left homeless and today are living under open skies without being cared by any one. He said that the cold season is fast approaching and the situation of these homeless people may go bad to worse,” the JKLF chairman said.

“In these hard times when common people are struggling to run their lives and the battle for survival is going on; Indian and its political stooges instead of thinking of the welfare of affected people are striving hard for so called assembly elections only for gaining political power. He said that India and its political stooges (pro-India Kashmiri politicians and their parties) are even politicizing the relief and rehabilitation with election politics,” he added.

Malik said ‘irony is that India and its stooges have postponed examinations of all students till march citing bad situation but same people are telling us that everything is all right for holding elections on time.”

“This hypocritical behavior and double speak actually tells us about the careless and callous approach of India and its stooges regarding Kashmir and Kashmiris. Kashmiris will stand against this callousness and our self help approach and passion will remain intact till every sufferer is rehabilitated. The devastation and destruction caused by recent floods in Kashmir has not only taken many lives and has totally shattered the economy of Kashmir and as a result tens of thousands have lost their jobs and hence bread and butter but rulers whose criminal negligence is actually responsible for this mayhem are playing dirty politics are paying no heed towards the miseries of people,” he alleged. The JKLF chairman who along with a delegation visited Chatabal today distributed blankets, rice, cereals, biscuits, milk and other relief material among the affected people.'
