Munde's daughter scores huge win in Beed Lok Sabha bypoll

BJP candidate Pritam Munde, daughter of late union minister Gopinath Munde, notched a big win in Beed Lok Sabha constituency Sunday.She polled a staggering 922,416 votes, trouncing her nearest Congress rival Ashok S. Patil by a margin of over 696,321 votes.While Patil trailed way behind with 226,095 votes, the third candidate - Independent Tejas A. Ghumare secured just 59,986 votes.The Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party had not put up any nominees against Pritam Munde as a mark of respect to her father, whose death in June necessitated the byelection.
