Rotten Rice At Capd Store Rendered Inhabitants Furious Due To Stinking

As the state government claims progress in sanitizing the Srinagar city after flood disaster in Kashmir, people from various localities surrounding CAPD like Guru Bazar, Tanki Pora,  Shaheed Gunj, Chota Bazar, Zaindar Mohallah and Habbakadal blame government and concern departments for keeping these areas prone to infections . People said that the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) after the flood hit kept the reserved rice in stores as it is and the wet rice started turning rotten which lead a lot of of the localities prone to the infections.

“we appealed for a number of times , we raised our voices so that this rotten rice will be moved from the stores of CAPD but the concern authorities acted as a deaf to our appeals,’ a shopkeeper  Basharat Saleem told 5 Dariya news.“Every single day we are using medicines so that the bad odor and the infections with it will not affect us. We have numerous people from various families who are ill because of these infections caused, who daily visit the hospitals for the treatment,” a local resident said.“As everyone is known to the recent flood disaster in Kashmir, many of the families are still waiting for the rectification of the said problem so that they can visit their places back and start their daily routine life,” another local resident said.“We shifted our children to various place so that they can be safe from these infections but one can think easily that how much a kid can stay far away from his family,’ Mohammad Younis  an another local said.“We appeal government and the concern authorities to take some initiative so that we can get rid of these problems caused due to infections and bad odor,’ he added.
