Virbhadra Singh extends good wishes to team India

The players of Himachal Pradesh who are going to participate in the Power Lifting Championship being organised at Las Vegas from 16th to 21st October, 2014 met Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at New Delhi today.The Chief Minister extended his good wishes to Himachali players and expressed hope they would give their best performance in the Power Lifting Championship.  He said that the players from Himachal Pradesh had brought laurels to the Country and the State in various international events and the State Government was committed to provide them best facilities besides honouring them for their outstanding achievements.Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the State Government was providing cash prizes to the winners of gold, silver and bronze medals in the international sports events. The Government was also providing 3 per cent reservation in Government jobs to the players.Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, who has been deputed as Manager of team India informed the Chief Minister that 63 players of India were participating in this Championship including three from Himachal Pradesh.
