Air force organised Free Medical camp

As part of the week long Air Force Day Celebrations, a Relief and Medical camp was organised by Air Force Station, Srinagar at the Zila Sainik Board, Batmaloo, Srinagar on 11 Oct 2014.According to a statement issued to KNS Air Commodore B Balachandran, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Srinagar inaugurated the Relief and Medical camp.  The camp kick started in the morning and many thronged the camp in the early hours. Rice, tea, sugar, milk powder, salt etc was distributed to all those who were severely affected due to the recent devastating floods of Srinagar. Group Captain Vinod Malik, Chief Administration Officer , officer and air warriors along with office bearers of Zila Sainik Board, Srinagar were present on the occasion.

During the day, the medical camp witnessed a beeline of patients mostly mid aged elders especially women from the flood affected areas of Srinagar City, getting free counselling and consultation from the Air Force doctors.  The patients were given medicines free of cost. Speaking on the sidelines of the event Air Commodore B Balachandran  said that the Air Force personnel have contributed one days ration towards this relief camp for all those affected due to floods.  The Air Force was committed to be with AWAM  across the state at all times and extend all cooperation in every effort aimed at providing  substantial relief to the flood affected people of Srinagar he added.
