Asking Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to abdicate his chair, Bhartiya Janata Party State Spokesperson Farooq Ahmed Khan Tuesday said that Jammu and Kashmir government miserably failed to address the flood victims of the State. Khan who was flanked by State General Secretary Jugal Kishor talked to reporters in Press Enclave Srinagar and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been leaving no stone unturned in helping the flood victims of Kashmir Valley.“State Government is lying as it is giving an impression that Central government has given no assistance to it. Central Government has already provided monetary support to the State government but the mismanagement on part of the State Government has left people high and dry. If Omar Abdullah doesn’t know how to rule a State then I advise him to quit the office,” Khan said.

In response to a query, Farooq Ahmed Khan said that the State Government spoiled tons of relief material at Udhampur. “Central Government had dispatched scores of relief laden trucks but the incompetency and inefficiency depicted by the State Government at Udhampur shocked us all as all the relief material was spoiled there and it didn’t reach to the affected people of the Kashmir Valley,” he said.Khan according to CNS said that Central Government is mulling to monitor the relief and compensation distribution process itself as it has become evident now that this government has proved inept and incompetent. “What can Central Government do when State Government is not able to address the problems of the people. We can’t say anything as this government is elected by the people, but the fuss and chaos created by the State Government has left New Delhi with no option but to intervene,” he said.Earlier, BJP State General Secretary Jugal Kishor and Farooq Ahmed Khan met traders at Bud Shah Chowk and assured all possible help to them from the Central Government.
