The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation will participate in the Clean India Drive on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in a big way. With the benign blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, all the branches of the Sant Nirankari Mission numbering about 3000 in the country will organize the cleanliness of public places in general and their own Satsang Bhawans and their surroundings in particular with all the devotees participating overwhelmingly. In Delhi, the public places proposed to be cleaned by Nirankari volunteers include Red Fort, ISBT Anand Vihar, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Rohini and Metro Station GTB Nagar. All the 18 schools run by the Foundation in Delhi and other parts of the country will also participate in the drive. The staff as well as students will attend the school for two hours and clean the premises including classrooms and surroundings.

The decision follows a letter received by His Holiness from Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs illustrating the noble objective of the campaign as envisaged by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. It said that a clean surrounding and environment is a great motivator and it keeps our minds clean and fresh. Cleanliness is also an essential prerequisite for general public health. It may be recalled that the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organizes a cleanliness drive along with tree plantation all over Indian and abroad on February 23 every year when all the branches celebrate the Birthday of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj as Guru Puja Diwas. The same enthusiasm is expected to be seen on Thursday.
