Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. Hears Public Grievances During 'Lok Milni' Programmes in Jandiala Guru Constituency

Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. today heard public grievances during Lok Milni programmes held at villages Sukhewal and Nand Wala in the Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency. He directed the concerned officials to ensure the timely resolution of the issues raised by the residents.

Addressing the gatherings, the Minister highlighted various public welfare initiatives being implemented by the Punjab Government and said that the government's primary objective is to provide transparent, accountable and people-centric governance while ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen.

Speaking about the transformation in the education sector, S. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. said, “When the Aam Aadmi Party government assumed office in 2022, Punjab was ranked 27th in the country in school education. Today, Punjab has emerged as the leading state in school education. 

This remarkable achievement is the result of continuous reforms in the education sector and our unwavering commitment to strengthening government schools.”He further said, “There was a time when government schools were viewed merely as institutions for children from economically weaker sections, and people often ridiculed them. 

Today, with the establishment of Schools of Eminence and large-scale reforms in the education system, Punjab has surpassed Kerala to become the country's leading state in school education. This is true public service, and we will continue to work tirelessly to further strengthen the education system.”

Highlighting the development of the Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency, the Minister said that development works are progressing at a rapid pace in every village and there is no shortage of funds for public welfare and infrastructure projects. He added that the Punjab Government remains committed to ensuring balanced and comprehensive development across the constituency.

The Minister also urged the people to take maximum advantage of the welfare schemes launched by the government and to actively participate in the overall development of their villages and the state.A large number of residents, Panchayati Raj representatives, party leaders and officials from various departments were present on the occasion.
