The invitation card for the grand religious event “Ek Shaam Shiv Ke Naam”, scheduled to be held at 6:30 PM on July 28 at Atma Ram Kumar Sabha Ground on Rajpura Road, Patiala, was formally released today at Circuit House.
The event was attended by Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, Advisor to the Punjab Government on Tourism and Cultural Affairs Deepak Bali, Aam Aadmi Party General Secretary Baltej Singh Pannu, National President of Sanatan Seva Samiti Vijay Sharma, Patiala Urban MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli, AAP District President (Urban) and Chairman of the District Planning Committee Patiala Tejinder Mehta, Mayor Kundan Gogia, Chairman Harpal Singh Virk and Senior Deputy Mayor Harinder Kohli.
On the occasion, Deepak Bali and Vijay Sharma said that “Ek Shaam Shiv Ke Naam” is not merely a religious programme but a grand celebration of devotion to Lord Shiva, social harmony, and cultural unity. They informed that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will grace the event as special guests. They added that renowned devotional singers from across the country will perform hymns in praise of Lord Shiva, and a large number of devotees are expected to participate in the religious gathering.
Later, an important review meeting was held with administrative and police officials to assess the preparations and arrangements for the event. Detailed discussions were held on security arrangements, traffic management, parking, sanitation, power supply, drinking water, medical facilities, fire safety, and other essential arrangements to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the programme.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal, SP City Palwinder Singh Cheema, the SDM, and other administrative and police officials participated in the meeting and reviewed the arrangements being made to ensure the smooth, safe, and successful conduct of the event. It was decided that all departments would work in close coordination to complete every necessary arrangement well in time and provide the best possible facilities to the devotees.
