Nayab Singh Saini Announces Development Projects Worth Over Rs. 270 Crore for Punhana at Public Rally
All announced projects to be completed on priority to ensure early benefits reach people

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday announced various development projects worth over Rs. 270 crore during the Mewat Vikas Sankalp Rally held at Punhana. He said that all these announcements would be implemented at the earliest so that the people of Punhana could start benefiting from these initiatives without delay.
The Chief Minister announced that the excavation and restoration work of the Lafuri Link Drain would be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.5 crore. Besides, a bridge would be constructed over the Ujina Drain from Lohinga Kalan to Jamalgarh at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore.
A bridge on the Jamalgarh–Enchwari road over Ujina Drain would be reconstructed at a cost of Rs. 4 crore, while another bridge over Ujina Drain from Mohammadpur village to Pingawan Road would also be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4 crore. Similarly, a hybrid channel would be developed for the reconstruction of the New Kot Drain from the Pump House in Punhana at a cost of Rs. 4 crore.
He further announced that a bridge connecting several villages in Punhana block would be constructed at a cost of around Rs. 2.5 crore. The Sports Stadium at Pingawan village would be renovated at a cost of Rs. 1.80 crore. The Chief Minister also announced the opening of a Division Office of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) in Punhana and a Sub-Division Office in Pingawan.
Under the power sector initiatives, works including replacement of electricity wires, installation of poles, shifting of lines and upgradation of transformers in various villages would be carried out with an expenditure of Rs. 1 crore. He also announced that two separate feeders would be created on the 11 KV Pingawan Urban Feeder to reduce overloading and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Under the Mahagram Yojana, water distribution and sewerage lines would be laid in Pingawan village at a cost of Rs. 55 crore. The Chief Minister announced that health infrastructure in Nuh district would be expanded as per Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS), under which all Sub Health Centres, Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres would be developed according to prescribed norms.
The Primary Health Centres at Ghasera and Nagina would be upgraded into Community Health Centres, involving an expenditure of around Rs. 44 crore. Health facilities would also be expanded in villages including Dhandhuka, Sakras, Luhinga Kalan, Shahchokha and Chandeni, where existing Sub Health Centres would be upgraded into Primary Health Centres at a cost of Rs. 20 crore.
The Chief Minister announced that the 33 KV Power Sub-Station between Nai and Bichhor villages would be upgraded at a cost of Rs. 7.5 crore. He also announced the constitution of a committee for establishing a university in Nuh district.
He further said that a letter would be written to the Central Government for extending the Delhi–Agra Namo Bharat Rail Corridor through Nuh–Punhana–Bharatpur. Sub Health Centres would be opened in villages Ranika, Devla-Nangli, Cheela and Godhola, involving an estimated expenditure of Rs. 2.40 crore.
Sub Health Centres would also be established in 17 villages of the Punhana Assembly constituency on land provided by the respective village panchayats. Science stream would be introduced at Government Senior Secondary School, Singar.
The roads from Pingawan to Sikarawa, Sikarawa to Alawalpur, and Laharwadi to Devla, among others, would be transferred from the Marketing Board to the Public Works Department (PWD) for further development. The beautification of the 84 Kos Braj Parikrama Marg would also be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 1 crore.
The Chief Minister announced that a proposal would be sent to the Central Government for declaring MDR-131 and MDR-132, from NH-248A at Badkali Chowk to NH-352 at Kulana, as National Highways.A road from Khori Shah Chokha village to Dada Shah Chokha’s shrine would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore.
Besides, Dhana Road would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 7.68 crore. The Bisru–Sasroli road would be developed at a cost of Rs. 3 crore, while the Sirouli–Gudhawali road would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.5 crore. The Bisru–Singar road would be built at a cost of around Rs. 7.5 crore.
A multipurpose hall and auditorium would be constructed in Municipal Council Punhana at an estimated cost of Rs. 16.85 crore. Similarly, a Sports Stadium would be built in Punhana at a cost of around Rs. 13.57 crore.The Chief Minister further announced that special repair work would be carried out on 35 kilometres of roads maintained by the Marketing Board.
In addition, maintenance of 44 PWD roads covering 33 kilometres and special repair work of 36 roads covering 64.38 kilometres in the Punhana Assembly constituency would be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 44.25 crore.Special repair work on 17 PWD roads covering 11 kilometres in the Punhana Assembly constituency would also be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.94 crore.
Under the Khet Khaliyan Yojana, 25 kilometres of unpaved rural tracks connecting agricultural fields would be converted into paved roads. Apart from these projects, the Chief Minister also announced an additional grant of Rs. 5 crore for the overall development of the Punhana Assembly constituency.
