As part of the ongoing plantation drive during the monsoon season, Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, planted saplings at Madan Lal Dhingra Park in Barwala on Saturday, spreading the message of environmental conservation. On the occasion, he appealed to citizens to plant more trees and take a pledge for their protection and care.

The Cabinet Minister said that the monsoon season is the most suitable time for plantation. He urged every citizen to fulfil their responsibility towards environmental conservation by planting the maximum number of saplings. He said that along with plantation, rainwater harvesting activities should also be transformed into a mass movement to ensure conservation of natural resources for future generations.

He said that a clean and green environment is the foundation of a healthy life. If collective efforts are made today to protect nature, the future can be made safer and more prosperous. He also appealed to people to ensure regular care and maintenance of the saplings planted by them.

On the occasion, the Cabinet Minister also highlighted Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and said that such public participation-based initiatives are playing an effective role in creating awareness about environmental protection.

He said that if every individual plants a sapling in honour of their mother and takes responsibility for its upkeep, the green cover across the country will expand rapidly and environmental conservation efforts will receive further momentum.
