Kharar's Politics Must Be Freed from the Builder Mafia for Development: Ravinder Singh Khera

The "Bolega Kharar, Badlega Kharar" foot march, led by Shiromani Akali Dal Kharar Constituency In-charge Ravinder Singh Khera, entered its tenth day on Wednesday. During the march, Wards 14 and 15 were covered, and local residents' grievances were heard. The march began from Pillar No. 11, Mundi Kharar, passed through LIC Colony, Khurana Chowk and Model Town, and concluded late Wednesday evening at Chajju Majra Colony.

Addressing the gathering, Khera said that Kharar can become a beautiful and developed city only when its politics is freed from the grip of the builder mafia. He alleged that the builder mafia, in collusion with the Municipal Council, has been indulging in large-scale irregularities and looting both the Municipal Council's treasury and the hard-earned money of taxpayers. 

As a result, despite Kharar generating substantial revenue, the city has witnessed little visible development.Khera stressed that bringing back Kharar on the path of development requires an honest and transparent administration. He said that as long as the nexus between corrupt officials and a select group of builders controls civic affairs, residents will continue to suffer due to poor infrastructure, unplanned colonies and rampant illegal construction.

He further said that the march would continue to cover the remaining wards of Kharar in the coming days while raising the voice of the people against the Aam Aadmi Party government's neglect of civic issues and administrative failures.

Khera assured the public that the Shiromani Akali Dal stands firmly with them and will continue to raise civic issues in every ward until the people's demands are fulfilled and those responsible for the city's deteriorating condition are held accountable.

Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Jasbir Singh, Master Jasmer Singh, Nirmal Singh, Rajbir Singh CGR, Sony Sidhu, JE Swaran Singh, Pyara Singh, Jarnail Singh, President Balwinder Singh, Harsimran Singh Binny, Aman Sharma and Karnail Singh Lambardar.
