The "Bolega Kharar, Badlega Kharar" foot march, led by Shiromani Akali Dal Kharar constituency in-charge Ravinder Singh Kheda, entered its ninth day on Tuesday. During the march, the party continued to visit different wards of the constituency, documenting public grievances and highlighting what it described as the continued administrative negligence of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
On Tuesday, the march covered Wards No. 12 and 13, beginning from Nijjar Chowk (Chajju Majra Road) and passing through Rajdhani Enclave and Chajju Majra Colony, before concluding at Chajju Majra village in the evening.Addressing the gathering, Kheda said that even the limited development works undertaken in the Kharar constituency over the past 4.5 years have been marred by serious mismanagement.
He alleged that Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann has done little for the constituency and that whatever development has taken place has been severely affected by administrative negligence and corruption.Kheda specifically highlighted the newly constructed sewerage line on Nijjar Road, stating that despite being completed, it has still not been made operational.
He said that earlier, sewage water used to accumulate on the roads, but now it has started entering people's homes and shops, making the problem even worse instead of resolving it.He added that this reflects a larger pattern where even the few development works undertaken by the MLA have become a burden on local residents rather than providing relief.
Kheda said such incidents expose the hollow claims of good governance made by the AAP government and reiterated that the Shiromani Akali Dal would continue to stand with the people of Kharar and raise its voice against these failures.
He informed that the foot march will continue in the coming days and cover the remaining wards out of the constituency's total 27 wards.Kheda appealed to residents of all wards to come forward and share their grievances with him, assuring them that he would raise these issues directly with the administration.
Former MC Rajbir Singh Razi, Sony Sidhu, Major Singh Chajju Majra, Lambardar Karnail Singh, Jagdev Singh, Jaspreet Singh Jassa, Jarnail Singh, Inderjit Singh, Harsimran Singh Binny, and Patwari Balwinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
