Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy (An Autonomous College), Bela, has achieved a significant milestone in pharmaceutical research and innovation on July 15,2026. Dr. Suman Lata and her student, Ms. Neha Chandel, have been granted a patent for their invention entitled “NOVEL COUMARIN-IMIDAZOLINE DERIVATIVES AND PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIS THEREOF.”
The invention relates to novel coumarin-imidazoline derivatives and their process of synthesis. As stated in the official patent grant, patent protection for the invention has been granted to the patentee for a term of 20 years.
The college management, Director (Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Sharma), faculty members and staff congratulated Dr. Suman Lata and Ms. Neha Chandel on this notable achievement. The patent reflects the institution’s growing emphasis on research, innovation and intellectual property generation.
