A PM Vishwakarma awareness programme on Branding and Marketing was organised today in Auditorium of Mini Secretariat Kulgam, by the Branch MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Srinagar, in collaboration with the District Administration, Kulgam. The programme aimed to strengthen the entrepreneurial and marketing capabilities of PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and enhance their access to financial services, digital tools, and market opportunities.
An awareness sessions were held by the officials of the Ministry of MSME and the District Industries Centre, highlighting the objectives of the programme and the progress of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in Kulgam. The technical sessions covered important topics including banking and credit facilitation, QR code generation, entrepreneurship development, product packaging, branding, digital marketing, e-commerce, Udyam Registration, and various schemes available through the District Industries Centre.
A special session on Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Product Branding and Market Promotion introduced participants to practical AI tools that can help artisans improve product promotion, reach wider markets, and enhance their business prospects. Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the significant role of traditional artisans in preserving the district’s rich cultural and economic heritage.
He emphasized that initiatives like the PM Vishwakarma Scheme are aimed at empowering artisans by providing them with access to skill upgradation, modern tools, financial assistance, branding, marketing support, and digital platforms. Stressing the importance of convergence among government departments and stakeholders, he reaffirmed the District Administration’s commitment to ensuring effective implementation of the scheme and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the district.
Earlier, GM DIC Kulgam, Bashir Ahmad Lone encouraged artisans to fully utilise the benefits available under the scheme for sustainable livelihood and economic growth. The program was also attended by Saheel Alaqband (IEDS), Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME Govt of India; LDM, Iftikhar Ahmad Padder, PM Vishwakarma SLPMU team and other officers along with the participation of PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries from across the district.
