As students bore the brunt of the Modi government’s brutal crackdown, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stood by them from the streets to the hospitals and from police stations to the protest site.

On Tuesday, the AAP Chief, accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bharadwaj and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly Atishi, first visited RML Hospital to meet students injured in the police lathi charge.

He then rushed to Mandir Marg and Parliament Street police stations to secure the release of those detained before reaching Jantar Mantar to express solidarity with the protesting youth. During this, Arvind Kejriwal said they had secured the release of 70 to 80 people who had been falsely booked and detained at different police stations since morning.

Condemning the police action, the former Delhi Chief Minister pointed out that, at the behest of the Modi government, police brutally lathi-charged protesters, fired tear gas shells and hurled stones at them. He asserted that the demand had now gone beyond the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi must resign, and gave the call: “Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao” (Remove Modi, Save the Nation).

Addressing the massive youth gathering at Jantar Mantar, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, "First of all, I salute the courage of each one of you. I salute your spirit. You had the courage to challenge the world's biggest dictator. Yesterday, the entire world saw how PM Narendra Modi was forced to bow before all of you."

Referring to the police action, the AAP Chief stated, "I have just met these people. They were brutally beaten. Lathis were used against them, tear gas shells were fired, and stones were pelted at them. We had nothing with us. The audio system and speakers at the protest were broken yesterday, and the person who had brought the sound system was also detained by the police.

That is why our big speakers are not working. Here we only have a small microphone. PM Modi got the big microphone damaged. But the point is that you made Narendra Modi bow yesterday."Speaking about those injured and detained, Arvind Kejriwal asserted, "I have just met them.

They have been beaten so badly. Someone's head has been smashed, someone's leg has been broken, many have suffered fractures, and many people have been arrested. Since this morning, I myself have been going to every police station to find out where people have been detained. Since this morning, I have already got around 70 to 80 people released. They have been arrested in false cases."

Targeting Narendra Modi, the AAP Chief said, "PM Narendra Modi says these children are terrorists. I want to tell PM Modi that the biggest terrorist is Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi says these children are anti national. I want to tell PM Modi that the biggest anti national is Narendra Modi.

These children are the future of this country. You have ruined this country over the last 12 years. You cannot even conduct a single NEET examination properly. How will you run the country? I believe that now it should not be Minister Dharmendra Pradhan who resigns, but PM Modi. ‘Modi Hatao. Desh Bachao.’"

Issuing a challenge, Arvind Kejriwal emphasised, "This morning, the police issued a press release saying that cases would be filed against those who participated in the protest. I challenge PM Modi to file a case against  dharna if he can. Do not be afraid of cases.

We will arrange the best lawyers and get all of you released. PM Modi also sent me to jail in a false case. I came out. Look, I was not afraid. I did not break. Do not break. Do not be afraid. Remove fear from within yourselves. The day fear leaves you, no one will be able to stop you from winning."

Reaffirming the movement, the AAP National Convenor added, "Until our demands are fulfilled, until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns, and until our country has a good education system, we will continue our struggle. You all are our own so please do not worry. On one side stands 140 crore people, and on the other side stands Narendra Modi alone.

Narendra Modi’s Police has attacked the people of this country. Now watch how the people of this country teach him a lesson."Earlier, after reaching RML Hospital, Arvind Kejriwal said that several students and police personnel had been injured in what he described as the brutal attack carried out on Monday. Many of the injured students and police personnel had been brought to RML Hospital for treatment, and he had come there to meet them.

Arvind Kejriwal said they had been informed that, except for one girl, all the injured students and police personnel had been discharged from the hospital. He said one girl remained in the ICU and her condition was extremely critical. After speaking to her relatives, they too confirmed that she was in a very serious condition.

He said they were praying to Bhagwan for her speedy recovery and hoped she would soon return safely to her family.Arvind Kejriwal said that they had primarily sought three pieces of information from the Parliament Street Police. First, they had demanded a list of all FIRs registered in connection with Monday's protest, along with the names of those against whom they had been filed.

Second, they had sought a list showing where all those students who were currently being held without an FIR were being kept, including the police stations or jails in which they were being detained. Third, they had asked whether any arrests had been made after FIRs were registered, and if so, a list of those arrests should also be provided.

Meanwhile, after reaching Parliament Street Police Station, Arvind Kejriwal said that since Monday, the police, acting on the instructions of the Narendra Modi government, had carried out severe authoritarian action by arresting people.

False cases had been registered against them, and they had been taken into custody without any FIR being lodged. As a result, the parents and family members of many students were deeply worried about where their children had been taken.

Announcing legal assistance, he said, "If any of your companions has been arrested, if anyone needs legal help, or if an FIR has been registered, note down this helpline number: 8588833548. Since this morning, we have received messages saying that children have gone missing. We have located all of them.

We know who is in which police station and who has been arrested where. We are getting everyone released. We will provide all of you with complete assistance.”Arvind Kejriwal added, “Since this morning, we have been receiving messages, some saying, 'My 11 companions have been arrested at this police station.

I myself am going there. I am getting the children released from every police station one by one. Wherever we found that children had not reached home and the police had taken them away somewhere, we traced every single one of them. We will not lose. We will not be afraid. We will not break.”
