Chief Minister Participates in the 43rd Annual Three-Day Mela at Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Ji’s Darbar in Nakodar, Jalandhar

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the life of Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Ji conveys the message of love, brotherhood, humanity and social harmony. He said Bapu Lal Badshah Ji believed that where there is true love, there is no place for discrimination.

The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering while attending the 43rd Annual Three-Day Mela at Almast  Bapu Lal Badshah Ji’s  Darbar in Nakodar, Jalandhar, on Monday. The Gaddi Nashin of Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Dargah, Sh Hans Raj Hans also attended the event.

In his address, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that it was a matter of immense privilege and pride for him to visit the sacred land of Nakodar, associated with Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Ji. He described it as a blessing to have the opportunity to pay his respects at this holy shrine. 

He also expressed gratitude to the Sh. Hans Raj Hans for inviting him and extending a warm welcome. The Chief Minister said that although Punjab and Haryana are two separate states, they share a common cultural heritage, Guru tradition and deep social bonds. 

He remarked that the two states are like two brothers from the same family and will always continue to move forward with the spirit of love, brotherhood and mutual harmony. He expressed the hope that just as Haryana is progressing steadily on the path of development, Punjab too would advance rapidly and further strengthen its position among the country's leading states. 

He also prayed to Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Ji for the prosperity and well-being of both states and for the progress of the nation. Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Haryana Government, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Bapu Lal Badshah Ji, is implementing several public welfare schemes for the benefit of the poor, the needy and the underprivileged. 

He said the government's objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society and to realize the vision of Antyodaya. Earlier, Sh. Hans Raj Hans said that the Darbar of Bapu Lal Badshah Ji stands as a symbol of love, faith, humanity and the Sufi tradition. 

He said that although it was the concluding day of the fair, the spirit of devotion and love associated with it would never end. He also shared the significance of the Sufi philosophy, saying that Bapu Lal Badshah Ji's message calls upon people to rise above caste, religion and discrimination and embrace love, brotherhood and humanity. 

The Sufi tradition, he said, is not confined by boundaries but serves to unite people and hearts, said Sh. Hans Raj Hans. He  also praised the simplicity of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. 

He said that the only boundaries between Punjab and Haryana are administrative, while the culture, heritage and social ties of the two states remain deeply interconnected. He added that despite his extremely busy schedule, the Chief Minister had come to the shrine out of reverence for Bapu Lal Badshah Ji and respect for the devotees.

Former Member of Parliament, Smt. Sunita Duggal, former Minister Sh. Aseem Goel, District President, Sardar Jagbir Singh Brar, and Sardar Gulab Singh Sandhu were also present on the occasion.
