Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij said that Saint Guru Ravidas Maharaj taught, “man changa to kathauti mein ganga.” If your mind is right, nothing else is needed- because the Ganges flows within you. If we follow his teachings, we can create a Satya Yuga (age of truth).
While speaking to media persons today late evening at Ambala Cantonment railway station after welcoming the Sant Ravidas Express - which Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated from Jalandhar Cantonment to Varanasi — and the large number of workers and people present, the minister said the passengers on the train are not only traveling from here but from across India to Ravidas Ji’s birthplace in Varanasi.
His teachings remain relevant today, and if the world embraces them, any age can become heavenly.Anil Vij said that some of Guru Ravidas Ji’s verses are also included in the Guru Granth Sahib. He urged people to rise above caste distinctions and regard themselves as equal to others.
Ravidas Ji used to do work such as tying shoes himself and never considered any task small. He said that work is work. Any task performed with devotion is equal — this is what Ravidas Ji taught. If people follow his teachings, today could become a Satya Yuga.
