Punjab Women to Receive Mawan Dhian Satkar Yojana Installment on August 1 says Harbhajan Singh ETO

Punjab Public Works Minister S. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. said that on August 1, mothers and daughters will once again receive messages on their mobile phones regarding the deposit of funds into their bank accounts. Speaking about the Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, the Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government has launched this important scheme under which every woman above the age of 18 years in Punjab is being provided financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 per month, while women belonging to the Scheduled Castes are being provided Rs. 1,500 per month.

He informed that eligible beneficiaries have started receiving the benefits of the scheme from July 1 and, so far, more than 3.2 million women are availing themselves of this facility. S. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. stated that the Punjab Government faces no shortage of funds for these important welfare schemes being implemented for the benefit of the people. 

He added that women who could not complete their registration during the month of July will receive the payment for three months together in August. He further said that the scheme will continue uninterrupted and will play a significant role in economically empowering a large number of women and improving their standard of living.
