Haryana Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that July 17 will be a landmark day for the state's development and the expansion of public services. During his upcoming visit, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will inaugurate several major development projects for the people of Haryana, aimed at strengthening healthcare services and modern infrastructure.
The projects include the launch of India's first hydrogen-powered train on the Jind–Sonipat railway section, as well as the inauguration of the long-awaited Bhiwani Medical College and Koriawas Medical College in Mahendragarh, which are expected to significantly enhance healthcare access in South Haryana. The Health Minister said that the Central and State Governments are jointly working to implement welfare-oriented initiatives and improve public infrastructure across the state.
She said that the opening of the new medical colleges in Bhiwani and Koriawas will enable residents to access quality healthcare closer to home, reducing the need to travel to larger cities for treatment and saving both time and money. The institutions will also create better opportunities for local students pursuing medical education.
Describing the visit as historic from both environmental and technological perspectives, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that the commencement of India's first hydrogen fuel-powered train service on the Jind–Sonipat route is a matter of pride for the entire nation. She said the initiative will not only help reduce pollution but also pave the way for a greener and more sustainable transportation system in the future.
She further added that the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen road infrastructure, modernise the railway network, and enhance the state's healthcare system will provide fresh momentum to Haryana's progress in the future.
