DC Mohammad Alyas Khan reviews implementation of Mission YUVA

Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a review meeting to assess the district's progress under Mission YUVA and directed all stakeholders to accelerate implementation through focused action on the mission's four pillars Culture, Credit, Capacity and Connectivity.
The Deputy Commissioner directed departments concerned to foster an entrepreneurial culture by mobilising fresh Mission YUVA applications, particularly from Self Help Group (SHG) members and other aspiring entrepreneurs, and to intensify awareness and outreach activities to identify and motivate eligible youth for self-employment ventures.
On Capacity Building, the Deputy Commissioner instructed departments concerned to complete pending hybrid-mode training of all eligible candidates on priority, to ensure they acquire the skills required before establishing their ventures. On Connectivity, the Deputy Commissioner directed immediate onboarding of all eligible shops and establishments onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform.
He instructed YUVA Doots and Motivators to regularly guide applicants, monitor progress of established units and facilitate daily onboarding of shops onto the platform to enhance their market access. On Credit, the Deputy Commissioner expressed concern over pending cases at bank branches and directed all banks to expedite sanctioning and disbursal of eligible applications within the prescribed timelines.
He also instructed officers concerned to maintain close coordination with banks and implementing agencies for effective monitoring and timely resolution of bottlenecks. Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, who is also District Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA, directed officers concerned to reprocess all applicant-level pending cases without delay.
He instructed Business Help Desk (BHD) staff to regularly visit training centres, bank branches and awareness camps to strengthen field-level facilitation and outreach, and to submit detailed visit reports for effective monitoring.
Among those present were Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Assistant Labour Commissioner Amit Kumar and other officers concerned. Sub-Divisional Magistrates, district officers of line departments, bank officials and YUVA Doots, Motivators participated virtually.
