Punjab Public Works Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO today held public grievance meetings in the villages of Nijjarpura and Amarkot under the Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency, where he interacted with residents and listened to their concerns. A large number of people attended the meetings and brought various local issues and developmental needs to the notice of the Cabinet Minister.
Giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the people, S. Harbhajan Singh ETO directed the concerned departmental officials to take immediate action and ensure the timely resolution of all genuine public issues. The Cabinet Minister said that the Public Grievance Meeting Programme initiated by the Punjab Government aims to bring the government closer to the people and ensure that citizens' problems are resolved promptly without unnecessary delays.
He informed that he is visiting different villages of his constituency every day to interact directly with the public, enabling on-the-spot resolution of their grievances. He further stated that these public meetings not only facilitate the resolution of individual and community issues but also provide valuable feedback regarding the developmental needs of villages.
The suggestions received from the residents are being taken into consideration for planning and implementing development works more effectively. He added that every village in the constituency will be covered under this programme so that no resident has to make repeated visits to government offices for the redressal of grievances.
On the occasion, S. Harbhajan Singh ETO also apprised the people of various welfare schemes being implemented by the Punjab Government and urged them to avail themselves of these schemes to the fullest. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to providing transparent, accountable and doorstep governance to the people.
He expressed confidence that the government's people-centric policies and development initiatives have strengthened public trust and that the government will continue to serve the people with the same dedication in the future.
