As part of the Punjab Government's "Lok Milni" (Public Interaction) programme, launched to establish direct communication between the government and the people, Punjab Cabinet Minister Advocate Barinder Kumar Goyal listened to the grievances and demands of the public at the office of the Nagar Panchayat, Moonak.
The Cabinet Minister heard the complaints and demands of the people with due seriousness. Several issues were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to the concerned officials to ensure the early resolution of the remaining cases.
Addressing the gathering, he said that no citizen would be allowed to face unnecessary harassment in government offices while getting their legitimate work done. He reiterated that the Punjab Government is fully committed to providing transparent, accountable, and corruption-free governance.
Minister Goyal said that every complaint would be be heard impartially, necessary directions would be issued to the concerned officials on the spot, deserving cases would be resolved within a stipulated time, and any form of harassment or corruption would not be tolerated.
He further stated that the government's objective is to make public services transparent, accountable, and easily accessible so that people do not have to make repeated visits to government offices for routine work. The primary aim of the Lok Milni programme is to establish direct communication between the government and the public, ensure the prompt redressal of grievances, and make the administrative system more efficient and responsive.
On the occasion, the Minister also highlighted the achievements of the Punjab Government and various public welfare initiatives. He said that every eligible citizen should benefit from government schemes, including free medical treatment worth up to Rs 10 lakh, 600 units of free electricity, canal water to every farm, proposed financial assistance of Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 per month for women, and revolutionary reforms in the health and education sectors.
He said these initiatives are among the historic achievements of the Aam Aadmi Party government and are being appreciated not only across India but also abroad. Cabinet Minister Goyal also expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party would win more than 100 seats in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and would transform Punjab into a prosperous and vibrant state, making it the number one state in the country. People present on the occasion appreciated the policies and welfare schemes of the Aam Aadmi Party government and expressed satisfaction with the development and progress taking place in the constituency.
