Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said that the State Government has taken another significant step towards promoting women's education while preserving the State's rich cultural heritage. In line with the Chief Minister's announcement, the proposal to rename the Government Women's College at Shahzadpur as Maharani Padmini Government Women's College, Shahzadpur has received formal approval.
The Education Minister said that Maharani Padmini's life symbolises sacrifice, courage and unparalleled self-respect. Naming the college after her will not only inspire young women in the region but also encourage them to better understand their responsibilities towards the nation and society. He said it is essential to acquaint future generations with the country's glorious history and the sacrifices made by its great personalities.
Sh. Mahipal Dhanda further said that the present State Government is fully committed to strengthening educational infrastructure across Haryana while ensuring value-based education. Renaming the women's college at Shahzadpur, he said, will instil a sense of pride, dignity and high ideals among young women.
He also expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for approving the proposal.
